This portrait of Dio and Diego is likely to be the last drawing I make this year. Things are starting to get busy again with New Years coming up, but I'm thankful for the lull I'm able to have right now to work.
As of writing this, I'm so tired of looking at this piece and I'm so glad it's finally finished. Sometimes even though I really love a piece I just get tired of it once it's finished. I'm sure when I return to this I'll adore it as I had when I dreamed up the idea in the first place. The background was a struggle (which means I'll have to draw more) but I like the colors that I ended up using!
In the New Year I plan to try to start drawing every day. It's going to be hard and a challenge but it's something that really matters to me now that art has become even more accessible with my graphics monitor. I wish anyone reading this luck with their resolutions! They're super hard to stick with... I've only had good luck with mental health-related resolutions when I've had a therapist guiding me to my goal.
In the mean time, those of you who follow my social media might notice my way of typing here is pretty different from how I type on Twitter or Instagram. The reason why I decided to keep this stiff form of writing here is so that it can be more accessible to people who don't speak English as a first language. The better I write, the easier it is for Google to translate it.
