I've finally finished the bulk of my moving around with regard to my travels, though I'm still out visiting with my family. I hope everyone reading this is having a wonderful holiday, and even if it's anything less than wonderful, I hope that it's still salvageable.
In the meantime I've found I'm a decent photographer as long as I'm using square format (thanks Instagram) and I was brought to tears by a three and a half foot (about one meter), 400 pound (190 kilogram) green sea turtle at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If you love marine life, biology, or animals in general, I'd suggest taking a visit, despite the $50 ticket. Their conservation work is amazing, so the money is going to a fantastic place.
With any luck I can convince my family to visit the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta next. I feel obligated to make more works about mermaids now to help blend some of my biology and art backgrounds together.
I do have a WIP to share with you all in the mean time:
I don't know what I did to Johnny's face but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually and correct it.
